BSNL to take on JIO

The pack offers 25 minutes of free calling to other networks and then on they will be charged 25 paise per minute.

First up is Reliance Jio itself, who has set the telecom spectrum on fire.

Bharti Airtel has raised the mobile data war to the next level with its surprise offer that provides 30GB free mobile 4G data to its users. It is also worthy to note that Jio also has Rs.303 plan which is still lesser than all the above mentioned plans with 1 GB FREE Data daily. BSNL's decision to increase data offerings in some of it plans come after Reliance Jio announced that it will start charging users after nearly 6 months of promotions.

Reliance Jio commercially launched services on September 5 previous year with the launch of inaugural free voice and data services, which it extended in December till March 31, 2017. TRAI recommended that Idea, Airtel and Vodafone should bear a penalty worth INR 3,050 crore ($465 million) for not giving enough points of interconnection (PoI) to Reliance Jio.

Incumbent mobile carriers Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Idea Cellular Ltd. had challenged the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's (TRAI's) decision to allow Reliance Jio to continue its Happy New Year offer beyond the stipulated 90 days. The "free" calling is not unlimited as initially advertised by BSNL. We offer best prices to our subscribers considering the present trend of Indian telecom industry.

The tribunal further observed that the availability of special benefits as per the terms and conditions of the plan is limited to less than six months.

However, it should be noted that the data is 3G and not 4G.

BSNL said that the data of 2 GB per day is one of the best in the industry.

You can avail of the 339 BSNL recharge pack without any prior membership or affiliation, unlike the Reliance Jio plans which you gave to subscribe to for Rs 99 a year and become a member of the Jio Prime facility.
