Game of Thrones season 7 premiere set for July 16

"Game of Thrones" fans finally know when they'll be seeing more dragons, direwolves, and the kings and queens of Westeros on screen again. What that means right now is that is that we have the first poster forGame of Thrones season 7, several months before it's set to premiere. And while the videos total less than a minute in view time collectively, they make that three-month-long wait until Season 7's release date all the more hard.

Game Of Thrones Season 7 will premiere on July 16, 2017. Actors from the series made appearances throughout to encourage fans.

After what seems like eons, HBO is breaking its silence about its Game of Thrones season 7 plans. Unsurprisingly, the poster has nothing on it except a clear picture of ice and fire. HBO took everyone's breathe away when they announced a delay in production - however new teasers released most recently has calmed things down a little.

It's truly one of the craziest promos that we've ever seen from HBO, but also one of the most misguided marketing moves in some time.

Well obviously it's ice and fire coming together, which immediately brings to mind the title of George R.R. Martin's books series, A Song of Ice and Fire. Tweeting about her shock after reading the script, Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark in the show, wrote: "I'd start preparing yourselves now".

I'm old enough to remember when melting a giant block of ice was how all information was disseminated.

We assume we'll get a premiere date sometime today.

As far as any details for what the new season will entail, well, we're all still in the dark.
