Google Pixel 2 gets release confirmation and pricing details

The Google Nexus smartphone owners held the numero uno spot for years until they were replaced by the Google Pixel smartphones.

Google senior VP of hardware, Rick Osterloh, has confirmed that there will be a successor to the original Pixel smartphone, and the exact word used to described this particular category to AndroidPIT? This new security update for Android is going to be rolling out to Pixel devices and Nexus devices first.

The above however tallies well with the worldwide trend as both the Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 are expected to see a hike in their prices.

Osterloh's clarification just made everyone sigh in relief, and by his statement, it seems that Google is now preparing something big about the lineup of Chromebook. Like every other rumour, we advise you to take this story with a pinch of salt.

Train slams into charter bus in MS , killing at least 3
A train has collided with a charter bus at a railroad crossing on Main Street in Biloxi, Mississippi. The National Transportation Safety Board said it was aware of the crash and monitoring information.

"You can count on a successor this year, even if you don't hear a date from me now", teased Osterloh when asked about the tentative date the Google Pixel 2 may get launched.

The "Read messages" feature can be surfaced through a variety of prompts, including "Show me my messages" and "Do I have any messages?", Google Corporate said Tuesday. The report says it's due to launch around the same time, or soon after, the Pixel 2, but also notes that it's still in prototype stage and might never see the light of day.

Osterloh did not provide details on when the phone may be released or about specifications on the feature set of the Pixel 2. It is said that Google Pixel 2 will run on Android 8.0 Oreo. On the contrary, the Pixel 2's high price is actually pretty justified, considering the upcoming device's possible specs. Camera-wise, there will be intense competition as the Galaxy S8 smartphone could come with dual cameras, a 12MP and a 13MP. The first leaks on the subject suggest that the search giant's next-gen Pixel smartphones could get fully dust and water-resistant builds.

This does not mean that the Pixel 2 would not be a device worthy of purchase, however. That rules out a price cut for the handset while improving chances to the contrary, of Pixel 2 being even costlier.
