Power outage numbers continue to rise from wind

"Statewide we have 45,755 customers without power now at 9:52 a.m". Indiana Michigan Power is reporting about 9,000 customers early this afternoon without electricity, most in an area north of Paw Paw.

Strong winds of between 40 and 50 miles an hour with gusts over 60 miles an hour caused power outages for at least 180,000 Consumers Energy customers across MI on Wednesday which included nearly 2,300 customers in Branch County.
