The Who Announce Las Vegas Residency At Caesars Palace [Ticket Info]

The Who has agreed to take up residency this summer at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Caesars Palace, one of the landmarks of Sin City, said that The Who will begin playing at the hotel on July 29.

The "Who Are You" rockers are led by 71-year-old guitarist Pete Townshend and 73-year-old singer Roger Daltrey.

These shows are in addition to their United Kingdom dates from March 30 to April 12, including a pair of Royal Albert Hall acoustic performances for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The Who is coming to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for six shows from July 29 to August 11.

Tickets run from $76 to $501-including the 9 percent Live Entertainment Tax but before additional fees-and will be available Friday, March 17 at noon through, and the Colosseum box office.

Their hit albums include "My Generation", "Tommy" and "Quadrophenia".

The renowned band is heralded for their angst-ridden lyrics, high guitar volumes, and is credited for setting the stage for heavy metal and punk rock.

The Who was one of six acts that a year ago performed the Desert Trip festival in California that was meant to bring together the most influential living rock bands.

Since opening in 2003, The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has hosted residencies by artists including Celine Dion, Cher, Elton John and Mariah Carey.
