United Nations urges Syrian parties to negotiate 'constructively'

M - The next global meeting on Syria within the framework of the Astana Process will be held on 14th-15th March 2017 in the capital of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh foreign ministry said in a statement on March 9.

The Foreign Ministry noted that the Astana process had been initiated by the country's President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The continuation of the intra-Syrian political dialogue in Geneva became a possibility because of the ceasefire agreement achieved during talks in Astana, which should be fully implemented, the UN Security Council statement said in a statement.

Two rounds of high-level global talks on Syria were held on January 23-24 and February 15-16, while on February 6, a technical meeting of experts took place in Astana.

Speaking about her brood on the American talk show The Real this week, she said: 'You know, they're always first. Two months back, Lopez too confirmed that they were working together on a music album.

"The members of the Security Council looked forward to the early resumption of the intra-Syrian negotiations and encouraged the Syrian parties to return to talks in good faith and to engage constructively and without preconditions on the agenda set out by the United Nations special envoy when talks resume", the statement said.

The coordination of efforts on monitoring the ceasefire in Syria, which allowed the parties to discuss the two sides' political agenda, was the main outcome of these meetings.

According to Amir Touraj, a research analyst at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, "Soleimani has executed Iranian strategy in Syria since the popular uprisings in 2011". Government troops are confronted by militants of different armed rebel groups. The Russian military involvement follows an official request from President Bashar Assad to President Vladimir Putin. The UN has repeatedly tried and failed to end the Syrian conflict, which has killed 300,000 and displaced 11 million since it began five years ago.
