Bayern's Neuer out for rest of season with foot fracture

Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is to miss out the rest of the season after fracturing his foot during the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal match against Real Madrid.

Ronaldo put Madrid level at 2-2 on the night in the first period of extra time when he scored his 100th Champions League goal, from a clearly offside position, before he wrapped up his treble with another disputed goal and Marco Asensio added a fourth.

"When Madrid got scared, the referee began his show", Vidal said after the game.

"The 1999 final [against Manchester United] in Barcelona, unfortunately a defeat that hurt us a lot. I had never been in favour of video technology, but I must admit it's necessary now".

"FC Bayern felt the action of the Spanish police [to be] completely misplaced and immeasurable".

The post Ronaldo in a league of his own, says Zidane appeared first on Vanguard News.

Ronaldo hailed Zidane's repeated courageous decisions to rest him throughout the course of the campaign for his upturn in form at the most crucial part of the season.

Bayern top scorer Lewandowski, who missed the first leg with a shoulder injury, fired them ahead with a coolly taken penalty before Ramos' weird own goal - the ball ricocheting off his right foot and spinning inside the near post - forced extra time. Replays showing at least one of the goals was offside didn't puncture his happiness. "And I wonder if he's going to go on and play into his 40s", Neville told Sky Sports.

Record-Breaking Debut for Newest 'Fast and Furious' Sequel
It is unclear how much the spat affected filming the movie, but it surely didn't affect box office numbers. The animated Smurfs: The Lost Village from Sony was fourth with US$6.5 million (RM28.63 million).

In a statement, Madrid City Hall said 1,800 officers "will ensure that the match is held normally and that security is reinforced in and outside the stadium".

Bayern Munich players were very happy after the game at Santiago Bernabéu.

"The only thing I ask is that they don't boo me because I give my best in every game", Ronaldo said afterwards.

"Although I don't always score, I always work hard and try to help Real Madrid". That would tighten their grip on a record-extending fifth straight league title and avoid seeing second-placed RB Leipzig close in even further.

"I wonder if he's building up for a long career as a centre forward, where his running doesn't have to be 11km, 12km per match, it can be 7km, 8km, 9km, where he can still score two goals and live off moments".

After Tuesday's game, Alonso, who had been withdrawn for Thomas Müller before the end of normal time, made his way back on to the pitch.

Vidal is alleged by El Chiringuito to have been one of the players involved, being that the Chilean midfielder was given what looked a harsh red card in the second half of the match.
