The BJP's National Executive returned to Odisha after 20 years, firmly marking the state as a key target for the party in the near future. Today we have chief ministers in 13 states.

When the BJP unfurled the saffron flag in many parts of the country in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Odisha was among the few states that remained untouched by the charisma of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "But the assembly election results have changed that perception", Prasad said.

The two-day meet would formally begin with the speech of Shah while on Sunday the concluding remarks will be delivered by Modi. BJP workers are not afraid of violence, Shah said, adding, 'We will meet violence with peace and determination'. The golden age is not just for the BJP, but for India.

Targeting the opposition for questioning EVMs, Shah said despite making excuses these parties should have honestly introspected the reasons.

"We were weak in Odisha".

The central government has also given Padma awards for the first time to many little-known people doing good work in different field and made selection process transparent, he said, while also lauding it for the passage of the GST bills.

Sini confirmed that the manner in which the young men were killed "is consistent with the modus operandi of MS-13". Authorities are yet to reveal whether the bodies discovered on Wednesday are linked to the previous youths' deaths.

"Least bothered ... I am not at all anxious", said Patnaik.

The governments of West Bengal, Kerala and Tripura came in for criticism from Mr. Shah over what he termed as attacks on his party workers. He will himself undertake a 95 day tour by September across the country in which he will meet booth-level workers of the party.

On Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik " s charge that the BJP is spreading false reports of split in his BJD party, Pradhan asserted that there was nothing wrong if the "clean and strong" leaders of other parties join the BJP to show their commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The BJP chief also referred to the congress's victory in the Punjab assembly polls to make his point. But BJP is yet to reach its peak.

The Prime Minister was received at the Biju Patnaik International Airport by the Chief Secretary and DGP of the state. He stepped down from his vehicle and walked on the road to greet the people.

Mr. Shah's appeal came during his inaugural address to the party's national executive meeting in Bhubhaneswar, the capital of Odisha, a State that seems to be next on the party's acquisition list. The meeting is expected to pass political and economic resolutions on Sunday.
