Apple, this first quarter released the "PRODUCT Red" edition of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, which can be regarded as a follow-up to last year's "Jet Black" edition.

"Likely options for Apple include a delay of production or elimination of fingerprint sensing on the OLED iPhone", the report also says, according to MacRumors.

As readers may be aware, Apple's iPhone 8 is widely expected to have a Touch ID sensor embedded underneath the display itself, rather than underneath a dedicated home button.

The iPhone 8 is probably still half a year away, yet speculations about the device are already trickling in a steady stream.

No matter how advanced the new iPhone 8 will be, the biggest challenge for Apple is battery backup.

The closer we get to Apple's annual press event, the more realistic the leaks for the firm's next generation smartphone seem to become.

Apple had previously patented a way to mount components inside tiny holes such that they would be rendered invisible to the naked eye. However, more reports indicate the iPhone maker may not be able to do so this year. The latest among these rumors features the alleged schematics of the premium-grade device, which include several features that have always been speculated about the upcoming Apple flagship.

Attorneys for Dao filed court papers Wednesday asking the airline and the city of Chicago to preserve evidence in the case. An online petition shows more than 30,000 signatures from people demanding the CEO of United Airlines resigns.

Apple is said to be struggling with its incorporation of the fingerprint reader in the active area of the display.

Apple wants to place the fingerprint sensor under the display, but that technology doesn't appear to be ready yet. Unlike its predecessor, however, the leaks teased that the iPhone 8's primary cameras would follow a vertical arrangement.

LG Display continues to cooperate with Apple not only in smartphones but also in monitors, one of the latter's core business. "Apple will likely to lower the production of existing iPhone models as the company prepares for the launch of the next-generation devices in the third quarter", the report added.

"Since fingerprint login is such a widely used feature and 3D sensing is unproven for this goal, a wholesale elimination of fingerprint sensing in the OLED iPhone would create incremental risk to consumer adoption", Pacific Crest said.

Apple iPhone may come with floating ability.

LG Display virtually made a decision to supply Apple with plastic organic light emitting diodes (OLED) for the iPhone 8 next year and finally confirm it in a board meeting in June.
