London cops investigating suspected acid attack at Mangle nightclub that injured 12

Police are still hunting for the man who is believed to have thrown a noxious substance after a fight in the venue.

Police asked anyone with information on the attack to come forward.

Emergency services, including a hazardous area response team, raced to the scene in Sidworth Street, near London Fields, shortly after 01:00 a.m.

Footballer Jamie O'Hara's cousin, several Towie stars and an Australian model were among those at the club on the night of the attack.

One witness stated that they saw a few women pour water on those who were injured.

Witnesses said at least one person was taken off on a stretcher.

They added: 'It was like a war - the police were everywhere.

Two Australian sisters injured in an acid attack in the United Kingdom say they feared they were caught up in a terrorist attack when chaos broke out at a London nightclub.

Police said none of the injuries are life threatening and a full investigation is now underway.

'My manager had to lock the doors and stay indoors to make sure nobody got in or out'.

Isobella suffered burns on her arm and on her back, while Prue was burnt on her arm.

'There was a big crowd, mainly girls actually, coming out of the club. "I was tipsy and in shock - if I was completely sober it would have hurt a lot more".

There has been no arrest at this early stage and inquiries continue.

Prue said the pair were eventually reunited and they fled the club.

Police were called to the scene at around 0010 GMT.

HUNTER sisters Isobella and Prue Fraser have described the moment they survived a horrific acid attack in a London nightclub which has left both of them with burns and another 10 people with a range of injuries. Roads surrounding the location were closed to facilitate an investigation.

She claimed residents had always been disturbed by the nightclub since it opened.

"Detectives are investigating an incident in which acid was sprayed inside licensed premises in Hackney". It has been going on since the nightclub opened'.
